Hawaiian Airlines has recently re-entered the world of travel credit card offers with a new MasterCard from Barclays. (The old Hawaiian Airlines card was issued by Bank of America and is no longer available).
The new card offers 35,000 miles with a $1,000 spend in 90 days and a 50% off companion fare for roundtrip coach travel between Hawaii and the continental U.S. You’ll also get a bonus $100 companion discount every year you have the card, and 5,000 additional miles every year that you spend $10,000 or more.
Because Hawaiian Airline credit card holders also receive 5,000 miles off roundtrip award fares between North America and Hawaii, the new card bonus of 35,000 miles actually gives you enough points for a super saver, roundtrip economy ticket. Though the annual fee of $89 is not waived the first year, it seems a low fee to pay if you can use the card to score a holiday in Hawaii!
