A new offer has just hit the market!
Actually, this is an update of a card that’s existed for a while. The Barclays Arrival card is now called Arrival Plus. It has a fresh new face and a Pin & Chip built in, making it easy for use worldwide.
The card offers an incentive of “40,000 bonus miles”—but what that really means is that you get $400 cash back on travel charges after spending $3,000 in the first 90 days.
The benefit is that this rebate is valid on a variety of travel expenses, including any hotel or airline purchase—you aren’t limited by airline and room availability or blackout dates.
The annual fee of $89 a year is waived for the first year.
We haven’t said much about the Arrival (or Arrival Plus) card before, and the model is interesting. On the surface, it isn’t as good as some of the mega signup bonuses we’ve seen recently, where 60,000 points and miles can be leveraged into thousands of dollars of travel value.
However, it’s easy enough to earn a $400 credit with this one … and you can use it anywhere … and the annual fee is waived for year one. With all that in mind, it’s definitely worth a look.
If you have any questions about these cards or any others, feel free to send us a note.
